The parts we are currently running are complex detailed part actuators, pistons and landing gear pistons for aircraft.
Duties are to Setup and Operate Landis 1R Conventional Grinders.
Applicants need to have a general knowledge of what grade & type of wheels to use; feeds and speeds, depth of grinding pass for different types of materials/part types. The applicant must already be able to use radius dressers to form radius and angles on the wheel on this type of machine. The applicant must be able to check parts on a comparator to confirm that the radius and or angles meet blueprint tolerances.
Team members must be able to follow grind techniques sheets and conventional industry grinding specifications BAC5032 and BPS4628. During the run Team members shall check the parts for correct diameters, linear, radius and finish callouts etcetera using company calibrated tools. Team members document their activities by completing in-process inspection reports, work order travelers, job cards, and they perform essential maintenance on the machines when necessary.
